About the University of the Fraser Valley
The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV), which used to be called the University College of the Fraser Valley and Fraser Valley College, is a public university in Canada with campuses in Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, and Hope, British Columbia.
It opened in 1974 as Fraser Valley College because people in the Fraser Valley needed more vocational training. In 1988, it turned into a university college that could give degrees. It grew quickly and became one of the biggest university colleges in Canada when it was called the University College of the Fraser Valley.
The provincial government gave full university status on April 21, 2008, because there was a growing need for higher education in the area and the province. There are now more than 15,000 students enrolled each year.
In 2010 The Globe and Mail Canadian University Report, UFV got the most “A Range” grades of any post-secondary school in British Columbia. It got A grades for the quality of education, student-faculty interaction, and ease of registration.

To determine your GPA, you must first determine how many grade points each grade is worth.
This is done by multiplying the number of credits for each course by the number of points each grade is worth.
For example, if you get an A in a 3-credit course, you would multiply three by 4.0 to get 12.0-grade points for that course.
Once you know how many points you got in all your classes, you can add them up and divide them by the total number of credits to get your GPA.
Remember that any courses you’ve taken more than once with a higher grade will not be counted.
