The Kawasaki Mule 3010 is an improved version of the Mule 1000. It’s no longer restricted to agricultural use, since this quad can do a wide variety of tasks. First responders, adventurers, and campers all love the rig for its versatility.
Kawasaki developed the adaptable 4×4 known as the Mule 3010 from 2001 to 2008. This compact UTV has an open-cab chassis, a twin-cylinder engine with a displacement of 617 cm3, gas and diesel trims, and a pickup-truck design. It was a huge success because of its spacious cargo bed and selectable 4WD.

Kawasaki Mule 3010 Oil type
The Mule has a forced lubrication (wet-sump) system. With no anti-friction additives or modifiers, the oil capacity is 1.9 US quarts (1.8 Liters) of SAE 10W-40 engine oil with an API grade of at least SJ and meeting JASO MA, MA1 or MA2 specifications.
The amount of API GL-5 or GL-6 Hypoid gear oil for LSD with a viscosity of SAE 85W-140, SAE 90, or SAE 140 that is needed for the front gear case is 0.4 US quarts (0.4 Liters). 2.6 US quarts (2.5 litres) of API GL-5 Hypoid gear oil must be used as transmission oil.
The transmission oil’s viscosity should be SAE 80 for temperatures below 5°C/41°F and SAE 90 for temperatures beyond.

Turn-over/Starting Issues
Clogged fuel lines or unclean carburetors cause starting or turning issues. Symptoms might include a non-rotating starting motor, limited fuel flow, or low-speed performance.
Before rebuilding the carburetor, inspect the electrical, air intake, and ignition systems. Check Kawasaki Mule 3010 components for wear and replacement.
