David Brown 880 Selectamatic Review
The David Brown 880 Selectamatic was a groundbreaking tractor introduced in 1964. What set it apart was its fully powershifted transmission.
This means the operator could change gears without pressing the clutch pedal. This made it much easier and more efficient to use compared to older tractors. Because of this, it became quite popular among farmers and contractors.
The 880 Selectamatic had a 2.7-liter three-cylinder diesel engine that made 46 horsepower. Though it may not sound like much today, it was plenty powerful for most farming jobs back then.
The tractor also had a four-wheel drive system, which made it great for working in muddy or slippery conditions. For more details check out the YouTube video
