Allis Chalmers 7060 Overview

The Allis Chalmers model 7060 received the new Accousta Cab II with console shift, new seating, and new lighting in 1978, serial number 6001. The tractor’s orange chassis was replaced by a black one. A gear shift, range shift, and the two-speed Power Director are all used by the Power Director.

One of the five forward gears or reverse can be chosen using the gear shift lever. Between high and low ranges are selected using the range shift lever. To change the gear or range, the tractor must be halted and the clutch pedal applied.

Once the Power Director is moving, it is controlled by two foot switches that can be changed while moving and without using the clutch.

Allis Chalmers 7060 review

The Allis Chalmers 7060, a four-wheel-drive tractor in production from 1975 to 1985, runs on a 426-cubic-inch 6-cylinder diesel engine, churning out 170 horsepower.

It was offered with the choice of either a powershift or manual transmission and boasted an impressive 3-point hitch capacity of 14,000 pounds.

The 7060 enjoyed popularity during its heyday and continues to be in extensive use today. Its strong suits lie in its reliability, durability, and substantial power.

Maintenance and repair are also relatively straightforward, adding to its appeal. For a full review, please check this YouTube video Here.
